Salary breakdown:
RSW -starting rate £12.75 per hour increasing to £13.25+ £85.01 per ‘sleep in’ shift.
Hours:
14 hour shifts; working hours are 08:00-22:00 ‘sleep in’ hours are 23:00 – 08:00.

In this role you will be working shifts, assisting the young people in all aspects of their everyday life. No two days will be the same; the role is an exciting challenge.
Day to day in the role you may be:
- Arranging and supporting a child to participate in exciting activities and supporting their interests and hobbies.
- Preparing meals, undertaking shopping trips.
- Attending important meetings with social services or health services.
- Helping to support and encourage our children to engage in and be successful in education.
- Creating a homely environment in which our children can feel safe and cared for.
- Collaborating and communicating with your colleagues to implement the best possible care practices.
- Ensuring that recording and reporting is undertaken to a very high standard.
You will be provided with a comprehensive in-house training and induction programme and we will commit to ensuring that you are promptly enrolled onto a suitable Level 3 / 4 Diploma qualification if this is something that you do not already have; furthermore, we will provide help and assistance to ensure you are supported through this qualification.
As a Residential Support Worker or Team Leader, you will have the following:
- The desire and passion to safeguard, motivate, and inspire the young people in your care.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, managers, in addition to working closely alongside other external professionals.
- The characteristics and personality to handle challenging behaviour effectively and professionally.
- The flexibility to undertake shift work including weekends, evenings & sleep in duties.
