Overview:
We’re growing our UK design team and are looking for a Chartered Structural Engineer to help lead the delivery of temporary and permanent works design across major infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with internal and global design teams and provide technical leadership in a new office focused on rail, highways, and complex civil infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading structural design across rail, bridge, and complex civil projects
- Supporting design delivery from concept through to construction
- Interfacing with clients, contractors, and internal design teams
- Providing mentorship and oversight to junior engineers
- Ensuring compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards, and client specifications
- Supporting bids, proposals, and business development activity
What We’re Looking For:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng, MIStructE or MICE)
- 10–15 years’ experience in structural design (preferably permanent works)
- Strong knowledge of UK standards and infrastructure delivery
- Temporary works experience beneficial
- Proficient in structural design tools (e.g. MIDAS, Tekla, Robot, Tedds)
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Comfortable working independently or across global teams
