Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and a keen eye for detail. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing various types of tiles in residential and commercial settings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to design specifications. This role requires proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut tiles to fit designated areas accurately.
- Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives.
- Lay out tile patterns according to design specifications and ensure proper alignment.
- Apply grout and sealants to finished tile installations for durability and aesthetics.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques and practices.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as tile cutters, chisels, and trowels.
- Experience with power tools including drills and saws.
- Basic carpentry skills to assist with preparation tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and design plans accurately.
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques is advantageous.
