Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Ori Caffe Liverpool within the John Lewis Store. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our catering services run smoothly and efficiently. This position involves assisting with food preparation, service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. A passion for hospitality and a willingness to help others are essential for success in this role.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Set up catering displays, ensuring they are visually appealing and well-organised.
- Serve food and beverages to guests, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas during events.
- Adhere to food safety regulations, ensuring all food is stored, prepared, and served safely.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during events.
- Assist with bartending duties when required, including mixing drinks and serving beverages.
- Help with the breakdown of catering setups after events, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
Experience
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures is advantageous.
- Experience in food preparation or bartending will be considered a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude towards helping others and providing exceptional service.
