Your goal will be to provide a warm welcome to all our Mezzanine restaurant visitors and do everything you can to make their trip a memorable one. You will be responsible for ensuring customers are served quickly and accurately, operating the tills, ensuring the restaurant area is impeccably clean and supporting the team with whatever is needed to help create a great working environment.
This is a very demanding role so you must be comfortable working fast and being on your feet a lot of the time.
We have 2 x part-time vacancies working 12-4 every Saturday and Sunday.
Key Responsibilities
As a catering assistant you role includes but is not limited to these duties:
- Welcoming and seating customers
- Taking customer orders
- Helping customers by answering questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage choices and related menu items.
- Preparing and serving beverage and food orders
- Delivering customer orders
- Setting tables
- Cash handling
- Cleaning tables and removing used cutlery
- Communicating effectively with the kitchen and staff members
- Reporting to shifts on time in impeccable uniform.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Ideally, we are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a catering environment – (preferable but not mandatory).
- Friendly and sociable.
- Good attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills
