Caterer/Server

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Caterer/Server to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services while assisting in food preparation and serving at various events. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a keen understanding of food safety practices, ensuring that all guests have a memorable dining experience.

Duties

• Prepare and present food items in accordance with established standards of quality and presentation.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring timely and courteous service.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, chairs, and serving stations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and serving areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during events.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a catering or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
• Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and helping others enjoy their dining experience.

Job Types: Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: £12.00 per hour
