Overview
Scarborough Yacht Club is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic self employed caterer to join our team. The catering element is becoming an increasingly important part of the club’s activity and we have ambitious plans.
This role involves the organisation, preparation and service of meals from our Galley for a minimum of two sessions per week, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00–3:00 PM. Additional hours may be available, including the opportunity to support events and arrange occasional catering by agreement. The successful candidate would impotantly be a part of our social committee.
Key responsibilities include:
· Planning, buying, and preparing food for weekend service
· Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen area to EHO standards.
· Working independently to deliver quality food to members and guests
· Optional: Additional bar duties may be available depending on experience and interest - with further opportunities to grow the overall role.
Requirements:
· Experience in a kitchen or catering role is preferred
· Good organisational and time management skills
· Friendly and approachable manner
· Ability to work independently
· An entrepreneurial approach
