Casual Opportunities.
We are looking for Casual Museum Events Assistants to work in our private hire events team across our five museums including M Shed and Bristol Museum & Art Gallery. If you enjoy delivering great customer service and love supporting events then read on.
We are focusing on increasing our income for running private events at our museums. To do this we need to provide excellent customer service by helping the client enjoy their event at our museum, ensure the safe running of the event, giving the client any support they need and ensuring our collection of over 2 million objects remain well looked after. We are currently looking to introduce new events around our current offer and you will be key to ensuring these new ventures succeed, as well as working to support our public events programme.
Our private events team consists of four permanent staff on a rota, and a casual team supporting as extra help is required. We work closely with our venue partner who manage all aspects of the catering on the night with you helping to prepare the venue, support contractors and other staff, and unlock/lock our venues. In the coming months we will be incredibly busy hosting events all nights of the week along with some early mornings and daytimes so are looking for people who are willing to work at least a few shifts across the week including weekends you are ready to be hands on team members who enjoy delivering events of all kinds.

This role is mostly evening work (5pm until late) but there is an expectation that some week and weekend days will be required. You will work mainly at M Shed and Bristol Museum & Art Gallery but our other museum venues across the city will be hosting events.
