Caretaker - Older Persons Independent Living Service
Older Person’s Independent Living Service for a permanent caretaker to join the time. Whilst the successful applicants are likely to be based at one building mainly, we are a city-wide service and therefore there may be times where cover is needed.
The successful applicant will be expected to have a flexible approach and ability to manage their own workloads, whilst working as part of a team. The successful applicant should also possess a good level of practical cleaning skills with a strong emphasis on customer care, safety, and security of our buildings. The successful applicant will not require handy person skills or be expected to carry out repairs. Professional boundaries with regards to service users is a must. Duties include but are not limited to, cleaning of communal areas, identifying and reporting of communal repairs, completing of health and safety records and building inspections. A basic level of IT skills is required as some duties are reliant on use of a computer or phone. Training will be provided on specific systems.
1 x Part time post 25 hours per week
Location: Sheltered Housing Schemes across the City of Sheffield within the Older Persons Independent Living Service.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
