It is required that the candidate will help people to make choices about their training, courses, education and work by providing right and appropriate advice, guidance and information.
Entry requirements of this job:
- A strong academic track record to degree level.
- Relevant experience in Careers Guidance is desirable.
Tasks required by this job include:
- Assisting to research various careers, training options and support organisations that can aid clients or candidates.
- Assisting candidates to write or develop their personal CV and to advice on completing job applications, job hunting and interview techniques.
- Providing one-to-one guidance to individuals in relation to their educational and career development.
- Identifying individual needs using a variety of techniques including guidance interviews, psychometric assessment, computer-aided guidance packages and other evaluative instruments.
- Planning, developing and delivering group guidance sessions on all aspects of careers development and work-related topics.
- Using information technology for a wide range of administrative and informational tasks.
- Establishing links with employers, relevant agencies, professional bodies and further education and training institutions to keep up to date with labour market information, legislation, professional and academic developments.
- Helping to deliver group sessions and presentations on both career and personal development topics.
- To source informational products or create careers literature to benefit clients.
- Maintaining current knowledge of labour market information and legislation.
- Assisting to use computer programmes to run skills assessments and aptitude tests to identify client strengths.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £38,700.00-£39,000.00 per year
