Our service is rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission. Julia’s House supports more than 140 families across Dorset and Wiltshire, in the community, at our hospices and in families’ own homes.
The successful candidate will be based at our Wiltshire Hospice in Devizes working in the Hospice, as well as working across Wiltshire in the homes of the children and young people we look after. You will have the skills and experience required that will enable you to care for children and young people with complex health care needs, as well as supporting with end-of-life care.
You get the chance to spend time with children and their families, really getting to know them, and creating wonderful memories. As a Care Team Member, you will be supported through an induction process, and provided with any specialist training needed, to provide a high standard of care to the children and young people we look after. If you haven’t already completed the Care Certificate, you will also be supported through this qualification as a requirement of the role.
To meet the care needs of our children and young people, flexibility will be required. Our care provision is provided seven days a week and so hours worked will include evenings, weekends, school holidays and occasional overnights. There are no set shift patterns. Rotas are prepared 6 weeks in advance. Sample rotas can be viewed in the 'Documents' at the bottom of this page.
We are offering a permanent contract, with hours of 20 per week, although more maybe available. A full driving licence and use of a vehicle for business purposes are essential.

Julia’s House is an award-winning children’s hospice charity dedicated to bringing comfort and care to families across the two counties.
Each family we support is unique and so is the care we provide. When a family finds out that their child has a very serious medical condition, which is life-limiting or life-threatening, their world falls apart. Julia’s House exists to help these children and their families.
