Summary
As a Care Assistant at Visiting Angels UK, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing essential support and companionship in their homes. This position is based in Midlothian.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities to clients in their homes.
- Support clients with mobility and ensure their safety at all times.
- Assist with meal preparation and medication reminders as needed.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervisor.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to home care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driving license is advantageous for travel between client locations.
- Above all else, personality and excellent soft communication skills are essential.
Working Hours
Expected working hours- this post is specifically for weekend workers, Saturday and Sunday 7am-2pm and 4pm-10pm. Weekday evenings are also available (4pm-10pm).
