Car Park Attendant – Fixed Term Contract

Job Purpose:
To work as part of the on site Car Park Team, providing guidance and directions to visitors entering and exiting car parks, to ensure the safe and efficient use of the available space, and to organise a steady, controlled flow of visitors into and out of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring that vehicles are parked in a safe and proper manner.
Maintaining a safe and seamless flow of traffic.
Always remaining vigilant to safety hazards and taking proactive steps to correct them if required.
Displaying good listening skills, identifying customer needs and responding to them quickly.
Supporting and helping colleagues with their work and getting involved in day-to-day activities as and when required.
Showing a genuine interest in other people and willingness to help.
Showing flexibility and willingness to meet company needs during the period of employment regarding hours, work and duties.
Adherence to all Company policies and procedures e.g., timekeeping, absence reporting procedures etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous marshalling experience and experience working with the public (if a school leaver, work experience is desirable).
Able to communicate clearly and confidently with the public.
Able to use own initiative.
Hours of work:
This fixed term contract will start 16th October for approximately 10 weeks. Hours per week can be fixed to either 24, 32 or 40. You must be flexible and able to work both weekdays and some weekend days. We offer a fun and interactive training and induction programme, a competitive rate of pay, free hot drinks to keep you nice and warm!
Rate of pay:
The rate of pay is £7.55 - £12.21 per hour dependant on age. This role also benefits from holiday pay.
