The Campus Safety, Security, and Site Services Officer plays a vital role in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Their primary responsibilities include conducting regular patrols on foot and by vehicle, responding swiftly to security incidents and emergencies, and ensuring effective access control to university buildings and facilities.
A strong emphasis is placed on customer service, requiring officers to provide support and assistance while upholding the university’s values and objectives. They monitor CCTV surveillance systems, manage key distribution, and enforce university policies related to security, health, and safety. Officers also assist with event security, conflict resolution, and emergency response procedures, such as fire drills and evacuations.
Additionally, they support university operations through portering duties, mail and parcel handling, ad hoc/response cleaning and lost property management. Their role includes traffic and parking enforcement, issuing warnings and penalty notices when necessary. Officers liaise with emergency services and university authorities during incidents, ensuring a coordinated response.
With a flexible and proactive approach, the Campus Safety, Security, and Site Services Officer adapts to the evolving needs of the university, ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and service.
This position is a part time position of 24 hours.
