Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our café, providing excellent customer service while assisting with food preparation, baking, making hot & cold drinks and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and have a passion for food and hospitality.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food items from the menu, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Making Hot/cold drinks for the customers.
- Serve customers with a friendly and helpful attitude, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area. Updating records.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Support the team in inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed.
- Follow basic maths principles for handling cash transactions and providing change.
- Someone who is fully involved to make the business successful and comes with creative ideas.
Experience
- Previous experience in making Hot/Cold Drinks
- Previous experience in Baking
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices is preferred.
- Punctual and a someone with can do attitude.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- A willingness to learn and adapt.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
