Front of House Supervisor – Hetty’s Place We’re on the lookout for someone brilliant to take the lead front of house at Hetty’s Place. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows great coffee, loves chatting to customers, and can keep a busy café running smoothly. You’ll be the go-to person on shift, keeping standards high and the team feeling supported, and stepping in for the General Manager when needed If you’ve worked in hospitality before, are a very experienced barista, and know how to bring calm, confidence and good vibes to a service, we’d love to hear from you.
Hours and Pay
- £13 per hour
- 26 hours per week
- Regular weekend availability is essential

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the front-of-house and barista teams during service
- Deliver outstanding customer service in line with our brand values
- Prepare consistently excellent barista-style coffee
- Open and close the café when required
- Act as host and ensure all customers feel welcome
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and service throughout the shift
- Order stock and liaise with suppliers as needed
- Provide operational support to the General Manager and cover their duties during absences
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in hospitality and team supervision
- Barista training and confidence in preparing coffee to a high standard
- A people-first approach and commitment to excellent customer service
- Proactive, organised and calm under pressure
- A team player who leads with positivity and professionalism
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Minimum of two years in a hospitality or café environment

Hetty’s Place is the sister café to Hetty’s Kitchen, which began life in a Gloucester Docks flat in 2011 and has since grown into one of the most exciting bakeries in the county. Known for handmade brownies, indulgent bakes and a commitment to quality, Hetty’s Kitchen now operates a bakery and café on site and supplies wholesale customers across the region. Hetty’s Place continues that ethos, offering delicious, seasonal brunch dishes and treats made with care and served with a smile.
