Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Serve customers with a friendly and professional attitude, taking orders accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
- Handle cash transactions and support basic math calculations for order processing.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained.
- Basic culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and team members.
- Ability to upsell products effectively to enhance customer satisfaction.
