Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cafe/Buttery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café and also assist in our shop. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for our customers while ensuring the smooth running of all café activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of café operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to provide high-quality service and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as food hygiene standards.
- Create an inviting atmosphere through effective layout and presentation of food and beverages.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a managerial role within the food service industry is a must preferably with cafe experience
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with staff and customers.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in café management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications for inventory management.
- A passion for food and beverage trends, with creativity in menu planning is an advantage.
