Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing exceptional service to enhance the customer experience. Will include weekends. Flexibility is essential as extra hours could be available at busy times (eg. Christmas, summer holidays) to to cover staff sickness/holidays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and efficiently while providing friendly service.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with basic math skills for accurate billing.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are fresh and presented well.
- Clean and clear tables and wash up if help is required in the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained.
- Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Basic math skills are required for handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 18 per week
