About Mcculloch Furniture Ltd.
We are a small design-driven manufacturer of bespoke fitted and freestanding furniture, collaborating closely with interior designers and architects on a wide range of residential and commercial projects. Based in between Frome and Bruton in Somerset, we often work on prestigious commissions in London and occasionally abroad.
As a growing business with a reputation for producing high-end, custom-made furniture, we are looking to expand our team. Our workshop is equipped with new machinery, including a wide-belt Kundig veneer sander, Kundig edge sander, Altendorf panel saw, CNC router, and Holzher edgebander, alongside traditional woodworking and veneering machinery.
Position: Experienced Cabinet Maker
With a rapidly expanding portfolio of luxury interior commissions, we are excited to offer an opportunity for an accomplished and experienced cabinet maker to join our dedicated small team of craftspeople.
As we continue to elevate our business, we are seeking someone who thrives in a creative, dynamic environment and enjoys the challenge of producing high-quality, bespoke furniture. Technical Skills
- At least 5 years in bespoke cabinet making.
- Ability to take full ownership of a work project.
- Excellent technical knowledge of bespoke furniture construction techniques to include solid and veneered components.
- Highly proficient at using machinery and hand skills.
- Confident to work from construction drawings.
- Able to work to precise tolerances.
Personal Attributes:
- Keen eye for detail with a strong ability to ensure high-quality standards on all projects.
- Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet production deadlines. Be willing to stay away occasionally to help with installation.
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices, with the capability to perform manual handling tasks efficiently.
