We are a Pasture for Life Butchery, working exclusively with British producers who raise animals naturally and responsibly. We believe that ethical farming leads to better-tasting meat, and if you're passionate about sustainability and quality, we want to hear from you.
Key responsibilities:
- Breaking down beef, pork, and lamb carcasses
- Crafting sausages from scratch
- Engaging with customers at the counter
- Offering detailed knowledge on preparation and recipe ideas
- Logging daily temperature checks
- Assist in regular stock takes
Hours of Work
- 5 days per week (working pattern to be agreed).
- Weekend work will be required Monday-Sunday
- 8am-5.30pm
- Closed Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 27th December and New Year’s Day
Our ideal candidate
- A passion for butchery and a strong desire to deliver the best meat products to customers.
- Proven experience as a butcher, with in-depth knowledge of various cuts including full carcass breakdown.
- A deep understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Great customer service skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of meat products efficiently.
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art butchery equipment and the willingness to adapt to new technologies and techniques.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
