Business Support Administrator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional, enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated Business Support Administrator to join our Central Services team. This post is an excellent entry level to local government business support and will give you the opportunity to gain awareness and knowledge of the services provided by this Authority.
Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will be required to carry out reception/front of house duties in a friendly and professional manner, signposting queries effectively and efficiently. Duties include, assisting visitors to reception, making/receiving telephone calls, typing letters, compiling emails, diary management, processing post, stock control and placing orders.
You will possess excellent verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills, as well as problem solving skills, and the ability to provide high quality customer service to colleagues, service users and external visitors alike. The ability to multi task, work on your own initiative and demonstrate excellent organisational skills are essential for this role. Experience in using Microsoft Office packages, i.e. Word, Outlook, and SharePoint is also essential.
This post will also involve providing business support to the wider Operations team, you will be involved in the preparation and distribution of sensitive documents, amongst other administrative duties. Because of the nature of our work, all applicants will also need to be aware of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and acting within the Data Protection Act and General Data Protection Regulations.
We provide a full induction, extensive training, and support will be provided in all aspects of the role.
