INTRODUCTION
Thank you for expressing an interest in the current vacancy that we have advertised for a Building Operative. We seek to appoint a Building Opertative on a 39 hour week contract or two Building Operatives on a 19.5 hour contact.
About the Foundry: The Foundry Sheffield is a registered charity (CIO) which took over the management of the historic City Centre Victoria Hall Methodist Church in the heart of Sheffield in 2015. The Foundy also supports 4 other community and charity buildings across Sheffield.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Building Operative.
Employed by: The Foundry Sheffield (CIO Number 1162688) S1 2JB.
Location: This role will be based across all sites under The Foundry's management.
Responsible to: The Management Team of the Foundry via a named Line Manager who in this instance is the Building Team Leader.
Application end date: Wednesday6th August 2025 -_ Midday_
Interviews : W/C 11th August 2025
Purpose of role:
(1) To ensure that rooms are set correctly for events and meetings.
(2) To undertake heavy cleaning duties including the cleaning of floors and stairways ensuring the building well maintained.
(3) To ensure that whilst on duty all existing opening and closing protocols and procedures are followed.

- Cleaning Duties
- Light Maintenance
Summary of Terms and Conditions:
- Working hours are 2x 19.5 hour p/w posts or 1x 39 hour post p/w - Please indicate your preference when completing the application form.
- Rate of pay is £12.60 per hour
- Confirmation of appointment is subject to the completion of a 6-month probationary period.
