Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant to join our dynamic team in the care sector. The ideal candidate will possess a background or strong interest in care, with a passion for providing exceptional service in a lively environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations and meeting residents hydration & nutritional needs.
This position will involve working an average of 10.5 hours per week over a fixed 2 week rolling rota (shift times being 08:00 - 11:00).
Duties
- Assist residents in maintaining their Nutritional & Hydration needs over the breakfast period.
- Assisting residents to exercise their choice with regards to food & fluid choices during breakfast times.
- Working as part of the morning care team to promote dignity at meal times.
- Ensuring residents are supported in looking clean & tidy following breakfast in order to promote self esteem.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care setting is preferred, but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is preferred, but training will be provided.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents and fellow team members.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed within the team.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21 per hour
