Headway Cambridge and Peterborough supports adults with acquired brain injury and those affected by conditions such as stroke and encephalitis to come to terms with their new circumstances, re-integrate into family and community life, and maximize their opportunities, choices and independence.
We have a vacancy available for a part time Brain Injury Support Worker in our Peterborough Hub. This is a varied role working as part of the team providing person centred day opportunities for people with acquired brain injury through group support, purposeful centre based activities and at times, one to one outreach work in the community.
Pay: £23,492.04 FTE (£4,761.90 pro rata).
Hours: 8 hours per week, (7.5 hours paid and 0.5 hours unpaid lunch break) on a Wednesday with the possibility to extend hours after a probationary period.
Annual leave: 25 plus bank holidays pro rata.
Mentor support, and specialist training will be given.
The successful applicant will be required to carry out a range of duties including delivering person centred activities to meet client’s rehabilitation aims, providing personal care support and contribute to running the busy centre . On occasion, you may be required to travel to our Hub location in Cambridge and to people’s homes to suit the needs of the business.
