Tona Enterprises Ltd is a family run business comprising of Scrabo Isles Private Nursing Home (50 beds), Castleview Private Nursing Home (35 beds) and a small property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate financial records such as income, expenses, and payments ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including paying invoices and managing resident payments, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Processing payroll for staff and ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages, salaries and expenses.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review on request.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
- Liaising with external accountants, and other relevant professionals as needed.
- Administration work
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper (preferably within the care sector or in a similar role). The current bookkeeper will remain onsite to provide guidance, until the successful applicant is fully competent in the role.
- Proficiency in Sage accounting and payroll software.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Reasonable proficiency in using software such as word and excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management ability.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other team members, management and external parties.
