Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Blast Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with various hand tools and power tools. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and safety are paramount. The Blast Person will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting and finishing, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Operate blasting equipment to prepare surfaces for coating or finishing
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed while using blasting materials
- Conduct routine maintenance on blasting equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for surface preparation
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist in assembly tasks as required
Desirable
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Understanding of 2 pack painting processes is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent understanding of both written and verbal English
