We are a small wild bird rescue and rehabilitation non-profit. We are looking for someone to join us in a paid role to provide essential support by carrying out core day-to-day tasks at our aviaries near Modbury in Devon. Responsibilities include feeding, hygiene and other work.
The role is initially for 3 hours per day, 5 days per week. Shifts are either from 4pm to 7pm or 5pm to 8pm, as the job involves putting the birds to bed. The days are Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and either Tuesday or Thursday. We also need someone who is prepared to work extra days from time-to-time to cover holidays.
Previous experience with birds would be beneficial; training will be given as necessary.
The role and / or hours have the potential to expand over time.
We are in a rural location, so own transport is essential. We also require a driving-licence holder as you may from time-to-time be needed to drive birds to vet appointments or to collect birds. If this is required, we will either provide a vehicle or pay travel expenses for use of your own vehicle.
