We’re seeking a BIM Operator with a strong grasp of BIM workflows and lighting design to join our London team. You’ll play a key role in delivering innovative, high-quality projects by integrating BIM technology with lighting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate BIM models with integrated lighting systems.
- Create and manage lighting-specific Revit families and BIM elements.
- Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), LOD standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate across disciplines (architecture, MEP, structural) and support clash detection.
- Use Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as BIM 360 or Viewpoint.
- Assist with 3D visualisations and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Mentor junior team members in BIM and lighting integration.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in Revit: Strong command of workflows, families, and collaboration tools.
- Experience with Dynamo: Especially for parameter management and geometry-based object placement.
- Familiarity with COBie: A strong plus.
- Understanding of BEPs and LOD standards.
- Knowledge of UK BIM standards: e.g., PAS 1192-2 or BS EN ISO 19650.
- Experience with clash detection and model coordination.
- Use of CDEs: Such as BIM 360 or Viewpoint.
- Portfolio or project list: Demonstrating real-world BIM contributions, ideally in lighting or architecture.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with lighting design software (e.g., Dialux, Relux).
- Skills in 3D modelling, rendering, and visualisation tools.
- Prior experience in construction or architectural sectors.
- Relevant BIM or lighting design certifications.
