Overview
We're looking for a friendly and enthusiastic barista to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for coffee, and values being part of a close-knit workforce where teamwork and positivity are everything. We are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude and strong teamwork skills, with previous till operating and barista or hospitality experience. Good communication skills are vital, both face to face and over the phone. We offer a full time position from Mon-Fri 7am-3pm, Sat 8am-2pm. Sun Closed. Double J's Cafe is a warm, family run business in the heart of London. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to during drink preparation and serving.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with basic math skills to ensure accurate billing.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment.
