We're looking for a Barista/supervisor to join our small team to cover hours over a 7 day week - hours may not suit students in education as its will cover a rotap over the week. The post needs you to be competent working independently and as part of a team for an established coffee shop based in Whitchurch, Cardiff. You will be making and serving excellent coffee. You will also be serving cakes and light bites from the displays. Level 2/3 Food Hygiene training is required for this post, but this can be undertaken upon successful appointment.
Knowledge of Coeliac and gluten free diets is preferred, but not essential, as training will be provided. Skill with latte art is required, and an interest in coffee is important.
General house keeping is essential to this post and the successful person will keep a tidy and presentable work area, including cleaning duties as part of running the shop. Key-holding may be required to open and close the shop on certain days. Flexibility on shifts may be required as will start and finish times although this can be discussed further. This post involves working with customers, making people feel welcome, valued and helping to create a comfortable, enjoyable experience.
Welsh-speaking is desirable but not essential.
