We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to multitask and manage time effectively will be essential in ensuring that every customer receives exceptional service.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to hygiene regulations.
- Engage with customers to provide recommendations and take orders accurately.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and report any shortages to management.
Requirements
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders.
- Strong time management abilities to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in food preparation or customer service is an advantage but not essential.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
