Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Assist with food preparation, adhering to food safety standards to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Engage with customers, taking their orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating arrangements.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while following basic maths principles for change calculation.
- Collaborate with team members to create a supportive environment that promotes teamwork and helps each other succeed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during peak hours.
- A friendly disposition with the ability to engage positively with customers and provide assistance as needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required by the business needs.
