Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while expertly preparing and serving a variety of beverages. Your ability to manage time effectively and maintain high standards of food safety will ensure that each customer enjoys their experience at our establishment.
Weekends are our busiest so full availability will be required on Saturdays and Sundays plus 2/3 days thoughout the week.
Duties
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring timely service during peak hours.
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, taking the time to understand their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.
Experience
- Previous experience as a barista in a café or food service environment is essential
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
- A willingness to learn about coffee brewing techniques and beverage preparation is essential.
