We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team in the Yurt Cafe. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while expertly preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items. Your ability to multitask and maintain high standards of service will contribute to an exceptional customer experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee,and tea with precision and care.
- Assist in food preparation, ensuring all items are fresh, appealing, and meet food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with basic maths skills for accurate billing.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with team members to create a harmonious working environment that prioritises customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
- Strong basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills to handle peak service times efficiently.
- A genuine desire to help others and provide outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
