Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while expertly preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items. Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items are fresh and presented attractively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils, in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable service to customers, helping them with their selections and answering any questions they may have.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring basic maths skills are applied when processing payments.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support each other in daily tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not essential; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is important to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for this role.
- A keen interest in coffee culture and beverage preparation will be advantageous.
