Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your passion for coffee and customer service will help us deliver an exceptional experience to our patrons. Availability is required ASAP.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and ensuring satisfaction with their selections.
- Handle food preparation tasks, adhering to food safety guidelines at all times.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep track of inventory levels for supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, fostering a positive atmosphere within the café.
- Ensure supplies and working area is always clean and up to standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential (Minimum 2 years). Expected to have ample experience in working as an all round Barista.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is required.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment consistently.
