Job Overview
We are a busy traditionally run family pub in Eltham and we are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our team at CAMRA‘s pub of the year for Greenwich 2025. As a key member of our hospitality team you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers , ensuring their experience is enjoyable and memorable. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills and communication with our customer. You must be 18 or over and be available Weekends and weekdays. We are flexible with shifts and offer shifts based on the individuals availability.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Engage with customers, taking orders efficiently and providing recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, ensuring all payments are processed correctly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills accurately.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards helping customers.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous but can be taught on the job.
- A passion for bartending and the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10.30-£12.21 per hour
