We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our vibrant team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that every patron feels welcome and valued. Your ability to manage time effectively and upsell menu items will contribute significantly to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly manner, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using a POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our high standards.
- Assist with food preparation when necessary, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and utensils.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
- A passion for culinary arts and an understanding of menu items is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers and team members alike.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
