Supporting and working collaboratively with other directorates to develop and embed a risk consciousness and culture within the Health Board and drive the delivery of the Assurance and Risk agenda to support the achievement of organisational objectives, delivery of safe and effective services and compliance with legislation and standards.
The post holder will be a positive role model and have a broad knowledge and technical understanding of Risk Management and Assurance, have excellent communication and organisation skills and the ability to work on own initiative.
The postholder, whilst based at our headquarters in Bronllys, will have flexibility rto work from home/another location.

Contribute to the design, development and implementation of an integrated Health Board Assurance Framework and integrated Risk Management Framework.
Contribute to the development of the Risk Management Framework for the Health Board that enables the Risk Management process to be fully enacted.
Facilitate a risk aware culture within directorates and sub teams and provide expert advice and support in the identification and assessment of risk, to support the organisation in achieving its objectives, delivering safe and effective services and compliance with legislation/standards.
Develop effective partnership working with colleagues from directorates to support Risk Management and Assurance activities and ensure that they are used to inform service improvement initiatives and implementation.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of colleagues.
Work collaboratively with directorates and teams to accurately track the implementation of recommendations from all auditors and regulators, the delivery of Welsh Health Circular requirements. Provide assurance to the Board, through the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee, of Health Board compliance with legislation, ensuring areas of concern are aligned with the Risk Management process.
