We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that high-quality products are produced efficiently and safely. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and production of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency in product quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently, performing basic maintenance as required.
- Implement food safety practices in line with HACCP guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Requirements
- Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients accurately.
- Previous experience in food production is preferred but not essential.
- Understanding of food safety principles, including knowledge of HACCP standards.
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain bakery equipment effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
