Are you an ambitious healthcare or people leader ready to take the next big step in your career? We’re looking for an Associate Hospital Director to join our senior leadership team at Spire Manchester Hospital – with a clear path to becoming a Hospital Director within the next 24 months .

This is a focused development opportunity. You’ll work side-by-side with our Hospital Director, learning every aspect of what it takes to lead a successful, complex healthcare business. A structured progression plan, regular development reviews and exposure to each element of a complex private hospital will prepare you to step confidently into a Hospital Director role when the time comes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead hospital-wide projects and contribute to national initiatives
  • Oversee hospital capacity management to maximise efficiency and drive growth
  • Support the site in the Hospital Directors absence, acting as their key support and trusted right hand
  • Participate in shaping and delivering the hospital’s strategic and operational plans
  • Champion patient safety, service quality, team performance and commercial results
  • Build a high-performing, collaborative team culture aligned to Spire’s values
  • Influence business development and relationship management at a senior level

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience leading teams in a customer-focused, regulated environment
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget management of £10m+
  • A track record of successfully managing change and delivering results
  • Excellent leadership, strategic thinking and people development skills
  • Confidence working in a complex, multi-disciplinary setting
  • A genuine interest in taking on a Hospital Director role in the near future
