Role: Assistant Cook
18 hours per week 12pm - 6pm. (Rota covers Monday - Sunday)
Additional shifts may be available.
As Assistant Cook at Bramble Lodge, you must be a passionate and caring person who is able to work with our management team to produce nutritious meals for our residents. You must have a sympathetic understanding of the nutritional requirements of elderly people.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Implement and monitor the daily routines to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen, liaising with the management team.
- Ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Ensuring a cleaning routine, keeping with all environmental health requirements is devised and maintained.
- Assist in prepare menus in accordance with the availability of food and the wishes of residents, ensuring that well balance, nutritional, and appealing are prepared.
- Assist in ensuring that food is ordered and stored in accordance with legal requirements.
- Cater for special diets or requests as appropriate.
