Key Responsibilities
The Assembly Operative is responsible for assembling components for a variety of products. The goal is to ensure the effective and efficient build of products and the on-time delivery of quality items to customers, adhering to company processes, standards, and operating procedures.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and other manufacturing instructions to assemble products according to design specifications.
- Identify and pick the correct parts required
- Assembly of components and products to drawing and quality specifications outlined in the job pack
- Utilise a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to perform assembly tasks, such as drilling, riveting, and fastening components together.
- Inspect and test components and finished products to ensure that they meet the required quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and report any defects or issues with components or products and work with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve them
- Meet daily and weekly targets and report progress daily to your line manager
- Carry out work with a focus on high quality output
- Consistently keep work areas organised, clean, and conducive to productive operations.
- Any other reasonable management request.
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
Assembly build work experience is desirable.
Ability to understand and read engineering drawings is desirable.
Experience with hand-powered tools is desirable.
