Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This job is tramping on amazon deliveries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Operate a 44-tonne class 1 HGV lorry to transport goods to various locations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
- Be flexible for start times and start dates
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be physically fit, capable of lifting heavy items when necessary.
