Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse activities. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, materials handling, and mechanical knowledge. The Operations Associate will be responsible for various tasks including loading and unloading goods, shipping and receiving, and maintaining an organised workspace.
Duties
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring safe and effective movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Load and unload lorries, ensuring that all items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to build effective workflows and improve operational processes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment handling and maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) safely and efficiently.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is desirable but training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for maintaining accurate inventory records.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
