Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, providing exceptional support during events and functions. This position requires a passion for food and hospitality, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with food safety standards.
- Support the catering team during events by setting up tables, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a clean and organised environment.
- Help with the breakdown and cleaning of event spaces post-service.
- Collaborate with chefs and other staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas of food preparation and service.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and replenishment of supplies as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest inquiries and needs promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Experience in food preparation or bartending is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as required by catering events.
