Addictions Therapy Programme Lead

Priory Hospital Bristol is looking to recruit an Addictions Therapy Lead to join the team. This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week.

Priory Hospital Bristol is part of the Healthcare Division of Priory and has 77 beds over seven wards varying from Eating Disorders, Acute Mental Health, Adult Psychiatric Intensive Care, Acquired Brain Injury, Huntington’s and Dementia.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As an ATP Therapy Lead, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

You will also:
  • Report to the Therapy Services Manager (TSM) and manage the ATP inpatient therapy provision, aftercare, and related resources.
  • Collaborate with dedicated therapy teams known for delivering high-quality care.
  • Provide specialist assessment, formulation, and treatment for clients.
  • Lead and support a team of addiction therapists at Priory Hospital Bristol.
  • Ensure a high-quality inpatient programme for addiction patients that meets the standards of PMI partners and Priory.

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

For this role, you will need to be an experienced psychotherapist accredited by a recognised body with specialist addiction treatment qualifications, able to support junior clinicians and lead a therapy team while managing a caseload. Ideally, you have experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including delivering group therapy and building strong client and referrer relationships. A driver’s licence is preferable to support flexible working and travel.
For more information about the role, you can contact Emily Hack (Therapy Services Manager) 0117 952 5255.

What we will give you in return

We want you to succeed at Priory and thrive in your role. You will be well supported with regular career conversations. We also offer full training and numerous pathways into leadership and qualified clinical positions to help you shape your career with us.
