Wandsworth Gymnastic School is a vibrant community club based in Balham, South London. We’re passionate about giving children and young people access to high-quality movement-based training in a fun, inclusive, and encouraging environment. Our programmes support both recreational and competitive performance across gymnastics, cheer, dance, acrobatics, and tumbling.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Acro, Tumbling, Dance Cheerleading & Gymnastics Coach to join our team and deliver engaging, high-energy sessions that build confidence, strength, and teamwork.
Role Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a multi-disciplinary coach who enjoys variety, creativity, and working with young people. You’ll lead sessions across different styles – from teaching clean tumbling technique and gymnastics fundamentals to choreographing routines for cheer/dance groups and building strength and flexibility through acro work
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver structured classes in acro, tumbling, cheer/dance, and recreational gymnastics
* Teach safe, progressive skills – including walkovers, aerials, handsprings, flips, and dance-acro combinations
* Coach performance teams and/or recreational participants depending on the class focus
* Encourage discipline, confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment in every session
* Contribute choreography for routines and displays
* Work collaboratively with the coaching team to ensure continuity and quality across the programme
* Maintain a safe and inclusive training environment at all times
Experience and Skills:
* Experience coaching one or more of the following: acro, tumbling, gymnastics, cheerleading, or dance
* Knowledge of skill progression and safe spotting techniques
* Minimum Level 1 qualification in gymnastics, acro, or cheer (or relevant discipline)
* A confident communicator who enjoys working with children and teens
* Positive, reliable, and proactive with a strong team ethic
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one), with safeguarding and First Aid certificates desirable

Pay: £10.00-£25.00 per hour
