About the Role
Following continued growth and with big plans for the future, we are looking to expand and develop our finance team to support the wider business and its stakeholders with timely, accurate reporting and by creating smooth and efficient processes across the business.
To achieve this we are looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant who will have a hands on and pivotal role in the day to day finance function by undertaking the following responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate and up to date financial records, including sales, purchases and expenses
- Managing the purchase and sales ledger, including invoice processing, raising proforma invoices, managing allocations and resolving any queries
- Daily bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and preparing a weekly payment run
- Month-end support including journal entries for accruals, prepayments and stock
- Weekly sales and trade reporting
- Managing the finance email inbox on a daily basis and responding to any queries
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis
About you:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
- Ability to work independently, to high standards and prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience of accounting software (Eg. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- A minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting role
- Strong communication skills
- AAT or accounting qualification or working towards one

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
